Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Mass box?

The Mass Box is a box that comes straight to your door with all the materials needed for crafts that correspond to the Sunday Mass readings. We include a LOT of materials to make your life easier! The full month of Mass Box includes a craft for every Sunday and Holy day (to do at home), kid-friendly weekly printables with webisodes, and a SuperBook DVD. We also have a variety of subscription combinations for multiple kids or those who get overwhelmed with one craft a week – it’s really all about what is right for your family!

What age is best for the Mass Box?

Kids 5-9 seem to connect the best! That said, our youngest known subscriber is 2 and the oldest is 14. It really depends on if crafts are how your kid connects!

Is it worth it?

Let me put it this way – if someone else was making this, we would be subscribers instead of producing it! We take all the prep work out of getting ready to get ready for Mass. We’ve seen that kids (and parents) who spend time READING the Bible and thinking about the readings have a better time on Sundays.

What if I'm not crafty?

That’s kind of the point. We make a webisode 3-5 minute show for most crafts that shows how to make the craft and discuss it with your kid. It can also get your child excited to do the craft! An insert has step-by-step directions with color photos of every step. All the materials are included!

What if we get behind on crafts?

While the crafts are themed to each Sunday and Holy Day’s readings, you can absolutely do them at other times! The Bible is evergreen! Once webisode shows are released they always stay up, so you don’t have to worry about them going away. If you need to skip a month (or two or three) you can always log in to your account and skip some months!!

Do we have to be Catholic?

No! Anyone can subscribe to the Mass Box! We do follow the liturgical calendar and our design is informed by Catholic teaching, but we welcome everyone to join us in liturgical crafting! If your Christian church follows a liturgical cycle, odds are it is on the same cycle as the Catholic Church.

We are Catholic...how are we sure this is legit?

The United States Council of Catholic Bishops reviews all our publications before release. While we are definitely not perfect and have made mistakes, we have a team of a Catholic deacon and Catholic parents and young adults who develop our materials to always promote Church teaching.

I'm a writer/run a parents group/etc... how can I review a box?

Fill our our review request form here and, when we have an extra box in a month, we’ll send it to you for review!
